Friday is upon us! Here is your recap everything FrontRunners from the past week.
This last week we had our June Bagel Brunch, continued interval training with the San Francisco Track & Field Club, danced with friends at Sundance Saloon, held our June Board meeting, and had a Pride Run meeting… all in addition to our usual runs!
Bagel Brunch: On Saturday, FrontRunners and friends once again enjoyed a delicious bagel brunch, put on by Steve Benne of Molto Benne Catering (link). The great weather made for a wonderful turnout, and some new faces joined us for the meal. Thanks, Steve, for another successful Bagel Brunch!
SF Track and Field Club Interval Training: On Sunday, SF Track and Field Club practice had yet another new member totaling 13 at the practice.

In addition to our regular routine, Coach Chris Goodwin added a few hill runs to enhance our weekly challenge. One of our routines is called a ”crossover”, so if you need some additional “two-step” practice for Sundance Saloon, attend their interval training for some agility training.

After the workout, board members and directors met at Bobs’ and Chris’ place for their monthly meeting. The two main topics included the upcoming Pride Meet (www.pridemeet.org) on July 22 at Chabot College in Hayward and the Pride Booth, which will take place at the Civic Center on June 24. Check out more information about the Pride Booth further down in this post. As always, contact Bob Callori for more information: callori@sbcglobal.net.
Sundance Saloon Lesson and Dancing: On Sunday evening, Sundance Saloon (link) invited FrontRunners to country western classes and dancing. The main dance floor hosted the dancing area while the other room was a great place for beginners to learn some steps. Sundance meets every Thursday and Sunday, and welcomes newcomers each time.
June Board Meeting: The 2012 Board met to discuss topics ranging from the end of the year banquet and upcoming events to searching for a new Secretary and new member and womens outreach. As always, the board welcomes feedback and ideas and will happily hear and discuss anything brought to our attention.
Pride Meeting: On Thursday, we met at Bob’s and Chris’ place for a Pride Meeting. The 2012 Pride Run is only a little more than a week away. The club will definitely need volunteers so head over to our Dibs section to help out (link).
Pride Booth: Bob is already canvassing Frontrunners to volunteer at least two hours for booth duty. You will see him with a clipboard at the Saturday morning run, so consider helping the Track team raise money for the 2014 Gay Games. A portion of the tips will be shared with Frontrunners. You can also click on the Dibs tab on www.sffr.org to select a job as a server, pourer or seller. Classes are available to receive your ABC license to be a Seller. Contact Bob at callori@sbcglobal.net for details.

How could you not want to be involved with this!?
Member Card Reminder: If you have renewed or signed up for FrontRunners for 2012, you can pick up your card at any Saturday after the runs. Allow for 2 weeks between registering and having your card printed. You can also email vp@sffr.org for a replacement.
As always, we welcome submissions for events, photos, news articles, and columns.
That covers it for this last week.
Enjoy your weekend and see you at the runs!
