All SFFR news and events for this week

Welcome to the Pride Edition of your regular Week Ahead Column! This week is very busy for everyone, so here is a simple guide for FrontRunners-related events this week. Special news and events are at the beginning of this post and regular, reoccurring events are on the lower half.

Special Events/News This Week:

-Announcement: With our 33rd annual Pride Run less than a week away, we are still seeking volunteers for the event as well as the Goodie Bag-stuffing Party! If you have attended the Pride Run in the past, you know how fun and exciting the event is. Volunteer involvement is crucial to making the event a success. To volunteer for the Pride Run or the Goodie Bag-Stuffing Party, please contact vp@sffr.org or Ward Han, our 2012 Volunteer Coordinator at: ward.han@gmail.com. Head to our official site and check out the volunteer (Dibs) section and see how you can become involved (link).

-Announcement: The regular Saturday Run will be cancelled this week because of the 2012 Pride Run.

-Goodie Bag-Stuffing Party and Pride Run Meeting - Thursday, June 21st - 6:30 PM - 415 Hill Street: Join us for the final meeting before the Pride Run! We will be stuffing the goodie bags for all of the race's participants and we did it incredibly fast last year with the help of so many people. If you can make it, please email vp@sffr.org or ward.han@gmail.com to confirm!

-2012 Pride Run Pre-Party at Sports Basement - Friday, June 22nd - 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM - Sports Basement Bryant (map): Fellow FrontRunner and Sports Basement employee, Ian Ballentine, has invited FrontRunners to join Sports Basement for an evening of food, drinks, raffle prizes, and our usual club discount! You will also be able to register for the Pride Run as well! Full info here (link).

-2012 San Francisco FrontRunners Pride Run - Saturday, June 23rd - 9:00 AM - Golden Gate Park near the Polo Field South Entrance: Our 33rd Annual Pride Run is upon us! Join your fellow friends and FrontRunners at our largest annual event! You can come along and volunteer, run the 5K or 10K race, enjoy the kid's run, and experience all of the other great things at the event. Full info at our Pride Run section of our site (link).

-SF Pride Parade - Sunday, June 24th: Help promote our club and our pride at the Pride Parade. You can watch and even possibly participate. Contact our Treasurer, Rick Aguilar, for more info: treasurer@sffr.org.

-SF Pride Beverage Booth: Bob is already canvassing Frontrunners to volunteer at least two hours for booth duty. Consider helping the Track team raise money for the 2014 Gay Games. A portion of the tips will be shared with Frontrunners. You can also click on the Dibs tab on www.sffr.org to select a job as a server, pourer or seller. Classes are available to receive your ABC license to be a seller. Contact Bob at callori@sbcglobal.net for details.

-SF Track and Field Club’s 5th Annual Pride Meet registration is open. You can go to their site (link) for full information on how to register and all of the details on the event.
