It has been a busy 2 weeks! Here is your recap everything FrontRunners from the past 2 weeks including all the Pride Festivities.
These last 2 weeks we stuffed Goodie Bags for the Pride Run, enjoyed a fun evening at Sports Basement for the Pride Run Pre-Party, had the most successful Pride Run in the last 7 years, enjoyed Pink Party Festivities, marched with other FrontRunners groups in the Pride Parade, served drinks with the Track & Field Club in the Pride Festivities area, and had our last Pride Meeting of the season… all in addition to our usual runs!
Goodie Bag-Stuffing Party: On Thursday the 21st, FrontRunners and friends helped assemble the Goodie Bags for the 2012 Pride Run at Bob's and Chris' house. We also enjoyed food and drinks and had our final Pride Run meeting before the big day. Thank you to all who attended and helped with the goodie bags and meeting!
Pride Run Pre-Party at Sports Basement: On Friday the 22nd, SFFR Member and Sports Basement contact Ian Ballentine, hosted the FrontRunners and Pride Run registrants for an evening of food, drinks, raffle prizes, and discounts at the Bryant Sports Basement location.

A special thanks to Ian for hosting the event!
33rd Annual Pride Run: On Saturday, we held our biggest Pride Run in the last 7 years!

The turnout, over 500 strong, had an amazing race with help from our awesome volunteer team, our race marshal David Kopay, the SF Gay Men's Chorus, and DJ O.

Not only did we raise close to 10,000 for our Pride Run Beneficiary, Out in the Bay, we also were treated to pre-race stretching, product samples and information tents, massages in the festivities area, delicious food, a wonderful kids' run, and a great awards ceremony.

We thank all who attended and especially those of you who volunteered with the many tasks that made the race a success.
Pink Party and Dyke March: On Saturday, unusually nice weather helped spur a huge turnout at Dolores Park and the Dyke March, which SFFR Members both participated in and cheered on.

Many then enjoyed the Pink Party for the remainder of the night, while others went to house parties, or rested for the festivities the following day.

Pride Parade: On Sunday, thousands showed up to watch and march in the 2012 Pride Parade.

The Bay Area FrontRunners clubs all marched in the same section, led by the SF FrontRunners. We thank everyone who marched with us and helped keep the energy going!
Pride Booth: FrontRunners joined the SF Track & Field Club at a beverage booth during Pride on Sunday.

We raised more than 600 in tips, half of which will be going to FrontRunners.

Thanks to all who helped make the beverage booth a success!
Post-Pride Run Meeting: We met this Thursday to discuss what worked and what didn't during the Pride Run. We also spoke about potential Race Directors for next year, so if you are interested or know of anyone, let us know!
Member Card Reminder: If you have renewed or signed up for FrontRunners for 2012, you can pick up your card at any Saturday after the runs. Allow for 2-3 weeks between registering and having your card printed. You can also email vp@sffr.org for a replacement.
As always, we welcome submissions for events, photos, news articles, and columns.
That covers it for these last 2 weeks.
Enjoy your weekend and see you at the runs!
