Your summary of the past week’s events!

Time for another dose of weekly recap!
This last week we had another great movie night, had a tasty bagel brunch with a speaker as well, continued training with the SF Track & Field Club, and posted another great Runner Bio interview… all in addition to our usual runs!
July Movie Night: On Friday, John Brown hosted a wonderful movie night at his place. The group watched "Children of God" and enjoyed tasty food and fun company. Thanks, John, for hosting!
July Bagel Brunch and Guest Speaker: Steve Benne of Molto Benne Catering (link) once again provided us with a great Bagel Brunch on Saturday. In addition to the wonderful food, Jerod Hoffman of Crunch Gym (link) came to speak about training and member options at Crunch. If anyone is interested, they can contact him at jerod.hoffman@crunch.com for more info and for a free fitness evaluation.
SF Track and Field Club Interval Training: SF Track and Field Club had another morning of training on Sunday. Workouts included sprints, dynamic stretching, and other usual routines. This year's Pride Meet is bound to be the most attended as they already hit over 70 pre-registered participants... the highest in their 5 year history! If you have not yet registered, come to the Chabot College track by 7:30AM-8AM this Sunday and pay your registration there and jump in on any of the events within your age group. FrontRunners are encouraged to create teams for the 4X100 and 4X400 relays or run an event, such as the 5000m. For additional info, go to www.pridemeet.org.
Also, don't forget that the SF Track and Field Club will be hosting a pre-meet team social on Saturday, July 21st in San Francisco at the famed Lookout. They will gather from 5-7PM and enjoy each others company and FREE appetizers.
Their volunteer coordinator is still seeking volunteers to help at the meet. Please send Nathan a note if you can make it at nrcain@gmail.com.
Runner Bio Interview - Steve Benne: FrontRunner, Amazing Chef, and owner of 3 awesome pets, Steve Benne, offered us an interview this week in addition to making us Bagel Brunch. You can check his interview out here (link) and read about what he's been cooking as of late and how he uses fitness to prevent injuries on a daily basis. While you are at it, you can check our all of our other interviews and learn more about your fellow SFFR Members.
Pride Volunteer Thank-You Party Reminder: A free party for all volunteers at the Pride events is happening this evening! You can certainly attend if you did not volunteer as well! Full details here (link). Thanks, Dennis Nix, for hosting the party!
Important Reminder: On Saturdays, we have been running for 3 months now in the reverse direction of the usual courses. We are now switching back to the traditional directions for each of the runs. We will have someone on each run this weekend to help guide you if you are new or have forgotten the old course.
Member Card Reminder: If you have renewed or signed up for FrontRunners for 2012, you can pick up your card at any Saturday after the runs. Allow for 2 weeks between registering and having your card printed. You can also email vp@sffr.org for a replacement.
As always, we welcome submissions for events, photos, news articles, and columns.
That covers it for this last week.
Enjoy your weekend and see you at the runs!
