Ahhh, the weekend is here, as is your dose of weekly recap!
This last week we kicked off Member Month, enjoyed August Movie Night, had a good turnout at our August Women's Outreach Run, launched the Member Business Network feature, had a board meeting, had a special evening Women's Outreach Run, posted another great Runner Bio interview, had a fun evening with the Kinsey Sicks, and selected our upcoming Theme Run theme… all in addition to our usual runs!
Member Month Begins: The month of August is Member Month. We have planned the full itinerary of events and you can view everything here (link).

Please try to spread the word about the events so that we can not only enjoy the activities with fellow members, but also welcome some newcomers who might enjoy the club.
August Movie Night: On Friday, Peter Kupfer hosted an evening of food, drinks, and a movie. Thanks to everyone who could make it to the event and a special thanks to Peter for hosting!
August Women's Outreach Run: On Saturday, we had 4 new women run in the August Women's Run. 3 were visiting us from Seattle FrontRunners, and the 4th just moved here and we hope she enjoyed her first run!
New SFFR.ORG Feature - Member Business Network: On Monday, we launched a new feature that is free to and accessible by all registered members on SFFR.ORG. The new feature is a great way to network within the club and spread work/business information to one another. You can read the announcement of the feature here (link), which also includes info on how to add your own content to the feature!
August Board Meeting: The 2012 Board met to discuss a variety of topics, including the budget for the remainder of the year, the events scheduled for Member Month, the position of Secretary that has been open since Robert's departure, and upcoming events in the coming months. As always, any input or ideas sent to board@sffr.org will be discussed by the board at these meetings or other times.
Tuesday Evening Women's Outreach Run: We added this extra run to Member Month, and the turnout hosted a fun group of girls and guys who ran along the Embarcadero on a modified 4 mile run. Following the run, some of us went to dinner. Thanks to all who attended and to Judith, Megan, and Danielle for leading!
Runner Bio Interview - Ward Han: SF FrontRunner, Emergency Room worker, and our 2012 Pride Run Volunteer Coordinator, Ward Han, provided us with an awesome Runner Bio interview, which you can read here (link). While you are at it, you can check our all of our other interviews and learn more about your fellow SFFR Members.
Evening with the Kinsey Sicks: On Wednesday, SF FrontRunners went out for a fun evening with the Kinsey Sicks.

As a special treat for our club, a portion of each ticket purchased by club members went back to the club. Thanks, Brent Sverdloff, for arranging the event!
Member Month Theme Run theme selected: The votes have been tallied and the winning theme for our Theme Run on August 18th is...

Super Heroes/Villains! Break out those masks, capes, and briefs/sports bras, or if you really wanted the other theme, go as "70's man." Full info on the event and bagel brunch here (link).

Bonus points for dressing up/embarrassing your animals... we're looking to you, Ripley, Sophie, and Alpine, to set the standard.
Member Card Reminder: If you have renewed or signed up for FrontRunners for 2012, you can pick up your card at any Saturday after the runs. Allow for 2 weeks between registering and having your card printed. You can also email vp@sffr.org for a replacement.
As always, we welcome submissions for events, photos, news articles, and columns.
That covers it for this last week.
Enjoy your weekend and see you at the runs!
