09/14/2012, 2:02pm PDT
By Brian Ray

Your summary of the week's past events!

The end of the work week is upon us! Here is your dose of weekly recap!

This last week we continued the great tradition of Little Black Dress Run, trained with SF Track & Field Club, had our September Board Meeting, and did an amazing job manning our water station at the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge… all in addition to our usual runs/walks!

Little Black Dress Run: On Saturday, we continued our annual Little Black Dress (LBD) Run during our regular runs in the Stow Lake area.

Many of you showed up in your finest little black numbers and competed for prizes and bragging rights.

The big winners were Bryant and Diana. Congrats! For more photos of the event, head here (link). For a video of the event, head here (link).

SF Track & Field Club Training Continues: Training continued this past Sunday at SFSU Cox Stadium. Workouts included stretching, sprints, and other exercises. Contact Bob at callori@sbcglobal.net for details.

September Board Meeting: On Monday evening, the 2012 Board met to discuss a variety of topics, including the end of the year banquet, elections for the 2013 year, and other upcoming events. We welcome ideas and input from everyone, so don't hesitate to send it our way and we will discuss it! email board@sffr.org.

JP Morgan Corporate Challenge Water Station: On Wednesday evening, SF FrontRunners met to run a water station during the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge. A special thanks to everyone who made it out and helped raise some extra dough for the club!

Reminder - SFFR JOCK Night at LOOKOUT coming up: On September 23rd, The LOOKOUT is hosting SF FrontRunners for our JOCK fundraiser event!

We are still seeking servers for Jello Shots, so please let the board know if you can help out. This event raises a good deal of funds for the club and it helps reduce costs for events or even makes them free. More info here (link). Email board@sffr.org if you might be able to help out!

Member Card Reminder: If you have renewed or signed up for FrontRunners for 2012, you can pick up your card at any Saturday after the runs. Allow for 2 weeks between registering and having your card printed. You can also email vp@sffr.org for a replacement.

As always, we welcome submissions for events, photos, news articles, and columns.

That covers it for this last week.

Enjoy your weekend and see you at the runs!
