Happy Friday! Here is your dose of weekly recap!
This last week we enjoyed a special Bagel Brunch, continued training with SF Track & Field Club, had our October Board Meeting, had another great Tuesday Evening Run, and launched our CafePress online store… all in addition to our usual runs/walks!
Bagel Brunch:On Saturday after our regular runs and walks, we had another great Bagel Brunch. Steve Benne of Molto Benne Catering (link) provided the delicious meal as usual. All members got an extra special treat, as Eric Jansen covered the cost of brunch for all SFFR Members. Eric covered brunch as a Thank-You for the funds that everyone raised for the Pride Run, which went to his radio station, Out in the Bay (link).

We presented Eric and his radio partner, Marilyn Pittman, with the ceremonial check for the 9,400 that was raised from the run, fundraisers, and other methods. Thank you to everyone who helped make the Pride Run a huge fundraising success!
Sunday interval training with SF Track & Field Club continues: On Sunday, the SF Track & Field Club continued their usual workouts and training, including dynamic stretching, sprints, and other exercises. Contact Bob Callori for more info: callori@sbcglobal.net
October Board Meeting: The 2012 Board met for our October Board Meeting on Monday. We discussed the success of recent events, talked about upcoming events, and put final details on the End of the Year Banquet. The first 100 tickets will cost $40 and all tickets after that will be $50, so there’s certainly motivation to get them earlier. Each person will be limited to purchasing 2 tickets and tickets will go on sale beginning October 15th. Stay tuned for a full post with details on the event and how to purchase tickets! As always, the Board welcomes feedback and ideas. Please send all input to Board@sffr.org
Tuesday Evening Runs: On Tuesday, we had another great turnout of roughly 34 people. Even with the chillier weather and earlier sunsets, the Tuesday run crowd is staying strong and we welcome you to come check us out!
CafePress SF FrontRunners Online Store: Bob Callori has been working hard on creating an online store for SF FrontRunners. It is now up! Check it out (link) and feel free to submit ideas for other designs and logos as the store becomes more established. Thanks, Bob, for all your hard work!
Reminder - Movie Night Tonight! (Friday): Andrew Chandler is hosting an awesome movie night with comfort food and the film, Fried Green Tomatoes. Full info here (link). Hope you can make it!
Reminder - Saturday Runs changing direction in October: We continue our directional change for the courses during the Saturday Runs/Walks. Of course, you can run however you like, so only do it if you want. We will have people assigned to leading each run for the first few weeks. If you have never run a course in the opposite direction before, we highly suggest you try it… it’s almost like running a new course altogether!
Member Card Reminder: If you have renewed or signed up for FrontRunners for 2012, you can pick up your card at any Saturday after the runs. There currently is a slight delay on more recent names on the cards due to a downed-printer… It should be fixed soon. You can also email vp@sffr.org for a replacement.
As always, we welcome submissions for events, photos, news articles, and columns.
That covers it for this last week.
Enjoy your weekend and see you at the runs, walks, and events!
