We've got a week chock-full of fun events and runs, including Movie Night and a special Easter Run/Brunch (FREE to members!), so buckle up! Here's your guide to all things FrontRunners happening in the week ahead...
Announcing the SFFR Couch-To-5K!
Starting April 22, we will be offering a couch-to-5K program to members, newcomers, and friends. This FREE 9-week program will start at a very easy and light level, working all the way up to a 5K (3 miles) during the 2017 SFFR Pride Run. Learn more on our Couch-To-5K tab. Use that tab or our Facebook event to share/invite friends and people in your network so we can build a fantastic group! And, for those who are interested, we are still looking for some awesome people willing to help coach, as we'll be having a training session 3 times a week. If interested, email email@example.com
Movie Night - La La Land - 4/14
The amazing Dan Valins is graciously hosting April Movie Night this Friday at 7pm. He'll be showing the almost-won-the-Best-Picture-Oscar film, La La Land. The cost for food will be $5 for members and $10 for non members (just join already!). Learn more here.
Easter Run & FREE Brunch - 4/14
Spring is in the air... What better way to celebrate than our Easter weekend run, followed by a delicious brunch put on by the Board. Bring your baskets, bunny ears, and bonnets for a fun run and costume contest. Afterwards, find some hidden eggs and devour a meal that's FREE to SFFR members and newcomers and $5 for everyone else. Learn more here.
Hunky Jesus & Foxy Mary Outing
On Easter Sunday, join VP Ted for some holy spirit in Hellman Hollow at Golden Gate Park at the annual Hunky Jesus & Foxy Mary contest. He'll be heading there around noon. If interested in joining, email firstname.lastname@example.org to coordinate.
SFFR App - Discontinued At The End Of Today (4/10)
After thoughtful consideration, the Board has decided to discontinue the SFFR App. It was a fun tool, but we are now focusing on a better, mobile-friendly website, and putting more resources and money towards a larger portion of our membership. If you use the App, please save any photos/screenshots by the end of 4/10. For all the latest SFFR news, use the website or Facebook in the App's place.
SFFR/EBFR Member Darlene Hall Surgery Update
Our East Bay FrontRunners & Walkers President Darlene Hall is is happy to report that her left total hip replacement surgery on March 30th went "great" and her recovery is off to an excellent start.
