By Brian Ray

The weekend was amazing! Sunny and warm with a huge Saturday turnout, our first full week of Couch To 5K training, and an SFFR member running their 200th marathon! Here's your guide to all things FrontRunners happening in the week ahead...

Recap/Thanks From Last Week
Last week we had a Friday evening social at the Cinch and continued our Couch To 5K program. A huge thanks Jin for planning the social event and to everyone who made it out!

Couch To 5K Continues! - 5/2, 5/4, 5/6
SFFR's new Couch To 5K program will continue it's workouts 3 times a week! Jump in at any time and we'll be sharing the week's workouts via a separate email to participants. Each workout coincides with our weekly Saturday, Tuesday, and Thursday runs. Learn more here.

Cinco De Mayo/Pride Run Fundraising Party - 5/5 - 6pm
Join us at Steve and Dan's home for our annual Pride Run fundraiser! Festivities include delicious food, drinks, and a club talent show, including performances by the fabulous Jason Brock and amazing Marilyn Mitchell, all to raise money for this year's beneficiary, Alliance Health Project, a non-profit supporting the mental health and wellness of the LGBTQ and HIV-affected communities. The cost is $100 per person. If the event is out of your budget, contact organizer Katharine Holland at kholland@1sanfran for volunteer opportunities at the party. Learn more here.

We'd like to that our generous party hosts Dan Robison & Steve Miller. Food and drink sponsored by Gary Pfitzer, Ted Wyder, Ned Moran, and Katharine Holland, Associate Broker at Zephyr Real Estate.

Dynamic Stretching With PT Specialist - 5/6 - 9am
Get in some great, pre-run dynamic stretching with professional Meghan Taff, joining us from BAK Physical Therapy. She'll meet up with us right before our first circle and offer the opportunity for warmup and cool down stretching, as well as giving any pointers. Learn more here.

Terry Baransy - 200 Marathons!
Over the weekend, Terry Baransy became the first SFFR member to achieve an amazing feat of 200 marathons at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon! Check out a cool article interviewing him on his achievement here. Congrats Terry!

COMING SOON - New Official Team Uniforms!
Many of you have asked when a new uniform order will happen. We've been selecting a new garment to print on and will have more information soon. As with before, we'll have short sleeve, long sleeve, tank top/singlet, and shorts, with the possibility of a few other options as well. This time around, however, we'll have different pricing for members, so join up and see just one of the many benefits SFFR members have! Learn more here.
