Below you will see a list of events put on or promoted by the club for members and friends. You can also check our calendar section for events and activities as well.
We are always open to ideas on events and people who would like to host/put on events. If you are interested in hosting an event or have ideas on events, send them to board@sffr.org
In most cases with club events, we cover some or all of the cost of the event. If you would like an event covered partially or fully, please review our reimbursment policy at the bottom of the Events and Activities Page.

Catch up with friends and kick off memorial weekend with a classy bar night. Blackbird has $3 draught beers and well drinks from 5-8pm.

Rock Climbing

- Touchstone Climbing Gym in the Mission
How about an upper body workout to complement all that running? SFFR is headed to a rock climbing gym on Wed night. Sign up by emailing vp@sffr.org. Cost is $29 inlcuding admission to the gym, equipment rental and a brief lesson by an instructor. Depending on the number of people signing up, there may be an additional discount. The board is helping out by paying $10 off cost to the first 10 people to sign up. Please sign up by Tue 5/21 so we can get a reservation at the gym .

We did such an awesome job in May that we have been invited back to Powerhouse for another fundraiser for SFFR!

Join us at 10:00PM for jello shots and other fun. You can even serve jello shots if you like (yay!)
We are raising additional funds for our first-ever FrontRunners Pride Parade Float!

San Francisco Marathon and Fabulous 5K!

The San Francisco Marathon returns! Join fellow friends and FrontRunners for an amazing marathon. Full details here (link).
As you may (or may not) know, The San Francisco Marathon is one of the largest urban marathons in the country, held this year on June 16, 2013 with over 25,000 runners and 100,000 spectators. Each year they host a 5k as part of the marathon event, but this year they are doing something extra special!They have partnered with the San Francisco LGBT Community Center and chose them to be the official charity of their 2013 event to raise funds and awareness for their program and all the wonderful things they do for the LGBT community.In honor of their charity partner and their work of ensuring that everyone has the freedom to be the best person they can be - the freedom to be FABULOUS, together they have nicknamed the race, The Fabulous 5K.

SFFR Event Reimbursement Policy
The board will reimburse portions or all of any event that relates to the club and has been approved for reimbursement by the board. In order to get approved for reimbursement, the proposal must be submitted no later than 3 weeks before the event. The board recognizes club-appropriate events as activities that welcome the majority of club members and do not require substantial travel or additional costs to members.
In order to be reimbursed for an approved event, all applicable receipts must be supplied to the treasurer within 2 weeks following the event date.
To submit an activity for approval, send a proposal of the activity, date, and projected costs to: board@sffr.org
