The Annual Thanksgiving and Christmas Day runs meet at McLaren Lodge at 10am for a 2 mile trail run along the edge of the park or a 5 mile run along Kennedy Drive to the Ocean and back.
Some attendees gather in the Castro for coffee after the run.
East Battery Lot (2‐3 minute walk to Bridge Plaza): From San Francisco: Take Doyle Drive (Hwy 101) to the last San Francisco exit, just before the toll booths. Take a right at the stop sign at the bottom of the exit ramp, then a left at the 3‐way intersection onto Lincoln Blvd. The dirt East Battery parking lot is a very short distance down the hill on the left. A walking/biking path leads from there to the Bridge Plaza.
From Marin: Take the very first exit after the toll booths onto Merchant Road, then take an immediate right to go through the tunnel under the roadway. Go past the small metered parking lot to the 3‐way intersection with Lincoln Blvd. Turn left on Lincoln Blvd and look for the dirt parking lot on the left a short distance downhill.

2018 marks the 10th Gay Games taking place in Paris France. Each edition of the Gay Games is associated with an International Rainbow Memorial Run. As San Francisco hosted the first and second Gay Games every edition of the International Rainbow Run begins here In San Francisco. This mirrors the tradition of the Olympic torch being lit in Athens, Greece and then touring the world before arriving at host city. For the next seven month the original flag used during the first games will travel the world, stopping ideally at each of the previous host cities, before arriving in Paris, France.
SF FrontRunners has been very honored to lead the planning and execution of this tradition.
Starts at Stow Lake Boat House, Golden Gate Park, San Francisco, CA
