Past President Ned Moran and his partner Kevin are continuing their amazing rafting trip and are once again inviting FrontRunners to sign up! This year, it takes place on Monday, July 3rd, and below is is all the info from Ned:
"For the past 15 years my partner, Kevin Rillera has organized an annual rafting trip down the Middle Fork of the American River for friends, family, and co-workers. This year we'd like to again extend an invitation to San Francisco FrontRunners to join us.
On Monday, July 3rd, during the 4th of July weekend, we will raft 17 miles on Middle Fork. This river run is rated as intermediate, perfect for experienced rafters or adventurous first timers. There are several Class IV rapids throughout the day. (See graphic below.) All rafters must know how to swim.
Each year we aim to book a minimum of 24 rafters, ensuring us the best pricing. We already have more than a dozen rafters on board for this trip. If you are interested to join this exciting day long adventure please let us know as soon as you can. Once we have 24 rafters interested, we will be sending out a URL for rafters to register directly with All Outdoor Rafting.
On the morning of rafting, the group will meet in Roseville, and carpool to the All Outdoors Rafting meeting space in Foresthill. From there we will catch buses to the launch site. The price includes transportation to and from the rafting launch site in Foresthill, a trained professional guide in each boat, all safety equipment, and lunch.
The retail cost with the outfitter is approximately $162 per person, but if we get 24rafters signed up we'll get a 24% discount so the net cost would be about $122.
Once you decide you’d like to join this year’s trip, or if you have any questions, please contact Kevin directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. For right now, there is still time if you need to cancel. Please include the approximate number of rafters in your group.
We strongly recommend that you book lodging the night before the trip, onSunday, July 2nd. If you wish to drive up the morning of rafting, you should know where we meet is approximately 140 miles from SF.
A block of rooms has been reserved for the group at the Homewood Suites, which is about 40 minutes from the outfitters. The nightly rate is $119 per night, plus taxes. The rate at this all suite hotel includes breakfast each morning. Parking is free.
If you don’t have to work on Tuesday, July 4th, you may choose to extend your stay at the hotel, staying a second night."
