City Solve Urban Race

  • CitySolve is a unique urban adventure that takes a lot of brain, a bit of brawn, and a ton of fun! More than a scavenger hunt, but less physical than a 5k-road race, this unique hybrid combines trivia, from pop culture to world history, with a team-oriented adventure. Add in the occasional checkpoint challenge (think Double Dare without the slime) and you've got CitySolve Urban Race! www.citysolveurbanrace.com

San Francisco Marathon and Fabulous 5K!

  • The San Francisco Marathon returns! Join fellow friends and FrontRunners for an amazing marathon. Full details here (link).

    As you may (or may not) know, The San Francisco Marathon is one of the largest urban marathons in the country, held this year on June 16, 2013 with over 25,000 runners and 100,000 spectators. Each year they host a 5k as part of the marathon event, but this year they are doing something extra special!
     
    They have partnered with the San Francisco LGBT Community Center and chose them to be the official charity of their 2013 event to raise funds and awareness for their program and all the wonderful things they do for the LGBT community.
     
    In honor of their charity partner and their work of ensuring that everyone has the freedom to be the best person they can be - the freedom to be FABULOUS, together they have nicknamed the race, The Fabulous 5K.

San Diego Front Runners & Walkers Pride Run

  • Happy Pride Planning 2013!  

    We've just launched our Pride Run registration for San Diego this year, set for Saturday, July 13 at 10:00 am, just before the Pride parade.  This has now become a sanctioned event of the overall Pride activities and is a timed/chipped race.

EMERGE run/walk 5K

  • The “Journey for Jessica Foundation”, is inviting you and your Running Team to join us this year for our 4th Annual 5K.  This is in Partnership with the International Brain Research Institute, to bring awareness to the community, and the need right here in the Bay Area.  This years Run/Walk will be on August 10th, at 10am at Lake Almaden Park.

Athlinks.com: Compete, Claim, Connect

With literally hundreds of members in SFFR it can be very difficult to track and log all of the club's achievements. An easy tool that we encourage all SFFR members to use is Athlinks.com which is a site that aggregates race results across the country and allows you to claim your races to your profile. By joining the SFFR group on Athlinks.com all of the clubs collective achievements are pooled in one group. This makes it far easier for our team of volunteers to help highlight your achievements!
